Current Event #4 " A Lagrange man's first deer is a monster 16-point buck"
23-year-old Andrew lawson has been hunting whenever he could and learning as much as possible from his dad mike lawson. He hoped he could put all those lessons eventually to good use. His father taught him that “it’s about being in the right place at the right time”. On Wednesday lawson was finally in the right place and his timing was pretty good too. He ended up bagging his first career deer and it was a hunt he’ll never forget. The deer weighed 210 pounds and racked as an official 16 pointer. The staff at the old town trading post where the deer was tagged called it a 21 pointer. Lawson now thinks its gonna take him another 13 years just to tag another deer. I think all the hunting and lessons were worth it. I think maybe if he didn’t have all those lessons to work off of he might not have gotten the deer.
